What our caregivers help with

Compare all services

From an hour of company to care around the clock, our caregivers take on the everyday tasks that make staying home possible. Every service is non-medical and available across Greater Austin, San Antonio and Greater Dallas. Add the ones you’re interested in to your care plan as you go.

Better-paid caregivers. More consistent care.

Home care has a turnover problem. When caregivers are underpaid they move on, and families keep starting over with someone new. Keep Safe Care was built to change that.

That’s our 2/3 Rule®. Caregivers earn two-thirds of what you pay for care, so good caregivers stay, and your loved one sees familiar faces week after week.

How we’re different

  • No contracts, no minimums

Book as little as one hour a week and adjust the schedule as needs change, with no long-term commitment.

  • A sliding fee scale

The more hours you need each week, the lower your hourly rate. Our own technology keeps overhead down, and we pass the savings on.

  • Insured and bonded

Every Keep Safe Care caregiver is insured and bonded, for your family’s protection and theirs.

  • Visits you can see

Caregivers check in and out with GPS, and tasks, photos and messages are tracked in our app in real time, so your family knows how every visit went.

Every visit, logged as it happens

Our caregivers use the Keep Safe Care app on every shift. It verifies arrival and departure by GPS and tracks tasks, photos and messages in real time, so nobody has to wonder how the day went.

How to get started

Most families are arranging care for the first time. Here’s what happens after you reach out.

  1. Tell us what’s going on

Call or send a request. We’ll learn about your loved one, what has become hard and what matters to them, and answer your questions about care and cost.

  2. Plan the care together

We agree on the tasks, days and hours that fit. There’s no contract to sign and no minimum number of hours.

  3. Meet your caregiver

We match a caregiver to your loved one’s needs, personality and schedule, and aim to keep that same person with you week after week.

  4. Stay in the loop

Follow each visit in our app and tell us when needs change. We adjust the plan as you go.

See all questions

What is non-medical home care?

Non-medical home care is help with the everyday activities that become hard with age, illness or disability, such as bathing, dressing, meals, housekeeping, transportation and companionship. These are often called activities of daily living, or ADLs. It doesn’t include medical tasks like wound care, injections or therapy.

Is there a minimum number of hours?

No. There are no contracts and no minimums. You can book as little as one hour a week or as much as round-the-clock care, and change the schedule as needs change.

How much does home care cost?

Cost depends on the type of care and the number of hours you need each week. We use a sliding fee scale, so your hourly rate goes down as your weekly hours go up. Call us for current rates in your area.

Does Medicare pay for non-medical home care?

Original Medicare generally doesn’t cover non-medical, private-duty home care, so many families pay privately. Some long-term care insurance policies and veterans’ benefits, such as the VA’s Aid and Attendance benefit, can help with the cost. We’re happy to talk through your options.

Will we have the same caregiver each time?

That’s the goal. Our 2/3 Rule® pays caregivers a bigger share of what clients pay, which helps good caregivers stay. That means familiar faces week after week instead of a revolving door of strangers.
